A'dam a'gain

I met up with Rosario and Jackie in Amsterdam last Saturday.  It was nice to play tourist for a change as opposed to my usual routine of finding a place to have lunch, finding the nearest CD stores and heading back.

Witte Dame in Eindhoven.  I pass this every day.

Somewhere between Eindhoven and Utrecht
A lot of nothing for such a small country
Stadium in south Amsterdam
Interesting architecture
I'm not sure if this one works for me though
The architecture in A'dam is incredible.
The big building with the towers is a mall.
All hail the glorious leader.
some random house
THEY ARE TRYING TO GET IN!
your mini is a maxi.
erm.
the party was off to a good start...
HOAs suck.
some of the tunnels are lit at night
another canal
some guy
It's a clothes store, not an embassy
the mall at night
Mme. Tussaud in the Dam.
I didn't go in; I'm not paying €17,50 to look at candles.
We have a stopwatch and we're not afraid to use it.
Lots of plazas in A'dam
Anywhere that has lots of bars will have one of these.
It's to, uh, keep the alleys and doorways clean.
'complimentary' shots in glasses mad of ice at the Ice Bar.
One of the biggest tourist traps in Europe.
Admission is €19,50.
You get a shot and two drinks (either what's pictured above or Heineken).
The feature attraction is a "4-D" advertisement movie.
Then you get pictures...a steal at €9 each.
You have to let them take the picture because it's -10C and your camera would break!
Or something.

You can't take pictures inside the bar, but taking pictures of the video display is OK.
Queen Ice-abella.
"Give me a round of applause because I deserve it".
Of course there are penguins.  It's an ice bar.
Some random couple (he's the one that took the picture of the three of us)
Included because it's apparently the only external shot I took.
Jackie and Rosario.
Back home after a long day up north.
Same shot with less exposure.
I included it to show the clock tower better.
That was my weekend, how was yours?
