Day 1, part 2: hotel and heading to Eersel

...with a nod to Mr Charles at the end.

Arrival Dorint Hotel Amsterdam (07 August) - relocation to Koningshof (08 August)

The pink zone is for...
...ladies only.  Yes, really.
but is it organic?
inside the room
Not just a convenient place to keep your room key, but practical, too!
...the power doesn't work without it.  No key = no lights.
Sort your trash, but aluminum cans are considered trash (really).
It's both a command and a slogan.
View from the room (that's a canal beside the street)
We don't have a basement,  we have floor -1
Lane or exit closed?  Just tape over the sign.

  1. OMG I am so jealous of your ability to get real liquorice allsorts. How are you keeping hydrated with all the tiny bottles of soda?

  2. Thanks for the bird pics. Wood Pigeon, Great Tit, and Chaffinch. Makes me feel homesick for all the European birds of my mis-spent youth. Mis-spent because I wasted it birdwatching, when I should have been out carousing!!!

  5. Stephanie: It's done out of courtesy; you don't HAVE to use those spaces Women can park anywhere but only women can park in those spaces. In those places that have it (not everywhere does) it goes handicap, ladies, general.

  6. Nice photos; everything seems so much cleaner than the photos I've seen of the UK. Thanks for sharing - it's like a glimpse of the greener grass.
